This statement explains how Worthic uses AI-assisted processing in the Service. It should be read with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Worthic uses AI for
Worthic may use AI-assisted processing to help with:
- document text extraction and interpretation;
- document type detection;
- transaction candidate extraction;
- document routing and filing suggestions;
- category suggestions;
- review notes and anomaly signals;
- summaries and operational insights;
- workflow assistance.
2. What data may be processed
AI workflows may process:
- uploaded financial and administrative documents;
- extracted text and metadata;
- transaction descriptions and amounts;
- workspace context needed to make useful suggestions;
- prior user corrections or confirmations;
- output from earlier deterministic processing steps.
Worthic distinguishes between:
- input data: information supplied to an AI workflow;
- extracted or derived data: information created during processing;
- AI outputs: suggestions, summaries, classifications, notes, and review signals shown to users or stored for workflow state.
3. No model training without opt-in
Worthic does not use customer documents, customer financial data, or workspace content to train third-party foundation models or general AI models unless the customer explicitly opts in.
Worthic may use aggregated or de-identified operational metrics to understand reliability, performance, cost, and error rates, provided those metrics do not identify a person or customer workspace.
4. AI is assistance only
AI outputs are not accounting, tax, audit, legal, investment, financial, or compliance advice. They may be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances.
Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before relying on them, especially for:
- tax-sensitive records;
- legal or compliance documents;
- large or unusual transactions;
- financial statements or reports;
- investment-related decisions;
- real estate records;
- anything that may affect a legal, tax, accounting, or business decision.
5. Human access
Worthic does not access customer documents as a routine support practice.
Worthic may access limited user data or workspace data for troubleshooting, security, abuse prevention, compliance, or support. Such access is subject to internal controls and auditable admin access logs.
If a user voluntarily sends documents, screenshots, exports, or files to support, Worthic may process those support materials to handle the request.
6. Security and separation
Worthic aims to keep production, staging, and development environments separated. Production documents are stored in production storage infrastructure and are not pointed at staging document-processing infrastructure.
Document processing uses environment-specific secrets, queues, object storage, and callback endpoints.
7. User control
Worthic provides controls that allow users to review, correct, approve, reject, or override AI-generated suggestions where those suggestions affect records, categories, routing, or reporting.
8. Changes
Worthic may update this statement as AI features, providers, controls, or legal requirements change.
