Yes, forecasts are designed as a full-workspace view, not a partial reporting-line view. The Forecasts tab is only available when the user has access to every active reporting line in the workspace. Worthic checks the workspace’s active personal, business, and real estate reporting lines, excludes archived ones, and then compares that list with the reporting lines visible to the signed-in user. If every active reporting line is inside the user’s permission scope, forecasts are available. If even one active reporting line is outside that user’s scope, the Forecasts tab is disabled and the user is redirected back to Budgets.
That matters because forecasts combine data across the workspace: current account balances, net worth, recent cashflow history, category budgets, planned one-offs, account forecast assumptions, and cashflow allocation settings. A partial forecast could look precise while quietly omitting a salary line, business expense stream, property mortgage, or investment account. Worthic avoids that by requiring full reporting-line visibility before showing forecast results.
So, to view forecasts, a user needs access to the workspace and permission scope over all active personal, business, and real estate reporting lines. Editing forecast-related settings is separate: that depends on the user’s workspace role and whether they have edit rights.
