Worthic uses reporting-line and account permissions to decide which planning information each workspace user can see. This is intentional: targets, goals and forecasts can reveal sensitive financial information across people, businesses, properties and accounts, so Worthic only shows planning data that fits the user’s access scope.
Forecasts have the strictest rule. The Forecasts tab is only available when a user can see every active personal, business and real estate reporting line in the workspace. If even one active reporting line is outside the user’s permission scope, the Forecasts tab is disabled. This is because forecasts are designed as a whole-workspace projection. They combine current balances, net worth, recent cashflow history, budgets, planned one-offs, account assumptions and cashflow allocation settings. Showing a partial forecast could be misleading: it might omit a salary line, a mortgage, a property expense stream, a business account or an investment account while still appearing complete.
Targets and Goals work differently. The Goals and targets tab can still be visible to users with limited reporting-line access, but the individual targets and goals inside it are filtered. A target or goal is shown only if all of its linked reporting lines are within the user’s permitted scope, and all linked accounts are visible to that user.
For example, a business-only user may not see a workspace-wide net worth goal if it includes personal savings accounts, investment accounts or property mortgage accounts. A user with access to one real estate line may not see a debt-reduction goal tied to another real estate line’s mortgage. A liquidity goal linked to several bank accounts may be hidden if one of those accounts is outside the user’s scope. A monthly savings-rate target covering both Personal and Business may not be visible to someone who only has Business access. Likewise, an expense-limit target for a real estate reporting line will not appear to a user who only has access to a company reporting line.
Editing is also permission-controlled. Users only get add, edit or delete controls if their workspace role allows editing. In short: forecasts require full active reporting-line access; targets and goals are available only where their reporting lines and accounts are fully inside your permission scope.
