Worthic gives you several ways to send documents into your workspace, so you can choose the route that fits how you are working at the time.
1. AI chat, on mobile or web
You can send a document directly through Worthic AI. In the web app, open the Worthic AI chat drawer and use the attachment button to add a file while you are chatting. You can also include a short message with the upload, for example “this is a receipt for the Cape Town trip” or “please treat this as a bank statement for review.” On mobile, you can upload documents or photos through the companion upload/chat flow. This is useful when you are away from your computer and want to capture a receipt, statement, invoice, or supporting record quickly.
2. From inside the web workspace
The main upload route is the Documents workspace. Use Documents > Add document to upload one or more files into the document intake flow. Inside the Library/My files area, you can also use New File to open the shared upload modal from the current folder context.
Documents can also be uploaded from the Accounts workspace. Use Accounts > Import file when the file is account-related, such as a bank statement, CSV, spreadsheet, or other account document. When you create or edit a transaction, you can attach supporting documents directly from the transaction form using the attachment/paperclip control. Balance-tracking and account-adjustment flows also allow supporting account-record attachments, so valuation evidence, loan documents, or other proof can stay connected to the relevant account event.
3. Email
You can email attachments to [email protected] from your registered Worthic email address. If your account has access to more than one workspace, include only the relevant workspace ID in the email subject so Worthic can allocate the documents correctly. Email import is intended for forwarding statements, invoices, receipts, and other files without needing to sign in first.
4. API or AI agent
Worthic also supports document upload through the workspace API. An authorised API client or AI agent can send a multipart upload to the documents endpoint with a file, optional account or reporting-line context, notes, and a submission mode. API uploads can either send the document for Worthic review or store it as a user reference file, depending on the selected mode.
After upload, Worthic may classify, route, or link the document depending on the source, user permissions, and selected upload mode.
