Worthic is designed to help identify and exclude duplicate transactions during import and document processing. When transactions are extracted from statements, uploaded files, email-forwarded documents, integrations, or transaction history imports, Worthic can compare them against existing records in the relevant workspace and account.
Duplicate detection may consider details such as transaction date, amount, description, account, reference numbers, statement period, running balance, document source, and prior import history. Where Worthic identifies a likely duplicate, it can prevent the same transaction from being posted twice and mark it for review instead of adding it directly to the account ledger.
Balance reconciliation adds another layer of control. Worthic can compare imported transactions against statement balances or account history to help confirm whether the transaction set is complete, duplicated, or missing entries. This is especially useful when the same bank statement, CSV export, or broker history is uploaded more than once.
Users can review both posted and excluded transactions. This means you can see what Worthic accepted, what it treated as a duplicate, and why something may have been held back. If needed, you can correct the decision, restore an excluded item, or remove an incorrectly imported transaction.
Worthic also links documents to the transactions they support. In the Accounts module, users can view previous transaction statements or transaction history imports, inspect the transactions linked to each statement, and trace individual transactions back to their source document. This keeps the import process auditable rather than hidden.
