Worthic’s document library is designed to keep records close to the part of the workspace they support. The main shared library starts at Worthic HQ and uses two primary filing branches: Reporting Lines and Accounts.
For documents that belong to a person, business, property, or other reporting line, the usual path is:
Worthic HQ > Reporting Lines > <reporting line> > <document type> > YYYY > Month
For documents that belong directly to a financial account, the usual path is:
Worthic HQ > Accounts > <account> > <document type> > YYYY > Month
This means a property insurance document might sit under the relevant property reporting line, while a bank statement would usually sit under the relevant bank account. Worthic uses the document type before the date folders, so similar records stay grouped together first, then split by year and month.
You can choose whether to view their library organised by file type first or date first, depending on whether you would like to see document types organised by date, e.g. Transaction records > 2026 > January, or have all documents organised under date, e.g. 2026 > January > Transaction records.
The library My files path is for personal reference uploads or files that should not go through the full shared workspace review flow. These are kept separate from the shared Worthic HQ filing structure.
Inside the Documents workspace, users can browse the Library, review the Inbox, search documents, open document detail views, and see recommended paths when Worthic has suggested where a document should be filed. Tagged documents may also appear through collections.
