Worthic uses AI as an assistant layer over your financial records, not as an autopilot that silently changes your books. One of its biggest roles is document understanding. When you upload or email documents, AI can help read statements, receipts, invoices, payslips, investment statements, property documents, and other financial/admin records. It extracts visible evidence such as dates, amounts, balances, currencies, transaction rows, account details, document type, and confidence level so the document can be reviewed, filed, and connected to the right account or reporting line.
AI also supports review and automation workflows. It can suggest transaction categories from the approved category options, identify records that need attention, surface useful review prompts, and help explain patterns in cash flow, budgets, accounts, investments, documents, and real estate activity. When the evidence is weak, it returns uncertainty rather than inventing an answer, and Worthic can route the item for human review.
Worthic’s assistant features use AI to help users ask questions, find relevant records, prepare summaries, and generate supported reports or exports. The assistant is tool-based: it can only use the app capabilities it has been given, and those tools are limited by the requesting user’s workspace permissions.
There are guardrails. AI extraction is designed to transcribe and structure evidence, not make tax, accounting, filing, or payment decisions. Public-facing AI has access only to public Worthic content, not private user data. Authenticated AI can access only the workspace information the user is entitled to see. Worthic also records AI usage and health information for monitoring, applies retention rules to stored AI logs/transcripts, and purges expired AI records.
