Worthic includes AI-assisted features such as the AI assistant, document interpretation, categorization support and AI Insights. These services use external processing resources, so each subscribed account has an AI usage allowance.
The exact fair-usage allowance is determined by the active subscription plan and includes the value of any additional workspace add-ons purchased for that account.
How the allowance is applied
AI usage is measured across the workspace owner’s subscribed account rather than as a simple number of chat messages. The allowance is shared across the owner’s Worthic workspaces and users operating within those workspaces.
This means usage from several workspaces can contribute to the same account-level allowance. Purchasing an additional workspace also increases the subscription value used to determine the available AI allowance.
Worthic tracks the estimated or actual processing cost of completed AI requests during the current usage period. Different actions can use different amounts. For example, a short assistant question may require less processing than interpreting a long document or analysing several complex pages.
Actions that do not require AI—such as opening accounts, viewing saved transactions or using standard calculations—do not consume the AI allowance merely because they appear in an AI-enabled product.
Which features may use the allowance
Usage may be recorded when Worthic performs tasks such as:
- answering questions through Worthic AI;
- interpreting uploaded documents or images;
- extracting or classifying financial information;
- generating AI-assisted summaries or recommendations;
- selecting or refining AI Insight cards; and
- using an AI fallback where rules-based processing cannot confidently complete a task.
Worthic uses rules-based and deterministic processing where practical. This improves consistency and helps avoid unnecessary AI usage.
What happens when the limit is reached
When the account reaches its AI allowance, Worthic may temporarily prevent new chargeable AI requests. The AI assistant may show that the plan limit has been reached, and AI-dependent document or insight features may be unavailable or operate in a limited mode.
Your existing Worthic data is not removed. You can still access the workspace and use features that do not require a new AI request. Previously processed documents, saved reports, transactions and other records remain available according to your normal plan and permissions.
The allowance renews with the next applicable usage period. If you regularly reach the limit, you can review the available subscription options, purchase an additional workspace where genuinely required, or contact Worthic Support to discuss your usage and purchase additional usage allowance.
Using AI efficiently
To make the most of the available allowance:
- ask one clear question with the relevant period, account or reporting line;
- avoid repeatedly submitting the same prompt or document;
- use supported CSV or spreadsheet imports when exact structured data is available;
- check whether a document has already been uploaded before processing it again; and
- combine closely related questions where practical.
Worthic also performs duplicate checks and uses non-AI processing where suitable to reduce unnecessary work.
Monitoring and fair use
Worthic monitors AI usage for service reliability, cost control and fair access. Limits may vary between plans and may change as AI features, provider costs or subscription structures evolve.
AI usage limits are separate from other plan allowances, such as workspace counts, members, documents, storage or feature access. Having AI allowance available does not enable a feature that is otherwise excluded from your plan.
