The Statement of Accounts is a report generated from the Accounts module, or requested from your AI assistant. It lists the accounts in the current account selection, separates them into assets and liabilities, converts values into the workspace reporting currency, and calculates an attributed value based on ownership. The report includes summary totals for assets, liabilities, and net attributed value.
It is not a transaction statement. It is a point-in-time account position report. The rows show account name, institution, account type, relationship, ownership percentage, account currency, balance, balance date, status, and attributed value.
How ownership is reflected
Worthic uses account ownership to decide how much of each account belongs to a reporting line or household member. If an account has ownership allocations, Worthic uses the currently effective allocation. If no allocation is set, it falls back to the account’s owned reporting-line links. Where an account is shared, the statement can show the effective ownership percentage and only attribute the relevant share of the balance.
For example, if a household account has a balance of 100,000 and one member owns 50%, that member’s statement attributes 50,000. Liability rows are treated as negative attributed value, so loans, credit balances, and overdrawn transactional accounts reduce the net figure.
Use cases
The report is useful as a lightweight business balance sheet when a business reporting line has bank, loan, asset, and investment accounts attached to it. It gives a compact view of what the business owns, what it owes, and the resulting net position without needing a full accounting ledger.
For households, it supports separate net worth reporting for individual members. A couple or family can keep accounts in one workspace, but still generate a statement for one person’s attributed share of joint accounts, personal accounts, investments, and liabilities.
It is also useful for clean exports before financial reviews, loan applications, personal planning, investment reviews, or reconciling whether accounts have been assigned to the right owners.
Access and formats
Open the Accounts module and use the Statement export controls in the account workbench. Worthic provides both Statement CSV and Statement PDF outputs. The PDF is a formatted report with summary cards and asset/liability sections. The CSV contains the same underlying rows and totals, suitable for spreadsheets, support review, or further analysis. A PDF statement can also be requested from your AI assistant.
If an owner/reporting-line filter is active, the generated statement uses that selection label and ownership context. If no owner filter is active, the statement reflects the visible workspace account selection.
Example of complex ownership structures and how the Statement of Accounts treats it
Assume a workspace has two personal reporting lines, Aisha and Ben; two business lines, Aisha Consulting Ltd and Harbor Holdings Ltd; and one real estate line, Bay Apartment.
Ownership setup:
| Item | Ownership |
|---|---|
| Aisha Consulting Ltd | 100% owned by Aisha |
| Harbor Holdings Ltd | 70% owned by Aisha, 30% owned by Ben |
| Bay Apartment property accounts | 80% owned by Harbor Holdings, 20% owned directly by Ben |
Accounts:
| Account | Balance | Ownership |
|---|---|---|
| Aisha personal bank | 20,000 | Aisha 100% |
| Ben personal bank | 10,000 | Ben 100% |
| Aisha Consulting bank | 50,000 | Aisha Consulting 100% |
| Aisha Consulting tax liability | -10,000 | Aisha Consulting 100% |
| Harbor Holdings bank | 40,000 | Harbor Holdings 100% |
| Bay Apartment value account | 1,000,000 | Harbor Holdings 80%, Ben 20% |
| Bay Apartment mortgage | -600,000 | Harbor Holdings 80%, Ben 20% |
How Statement of Accounts reflect this:
| Statement view | What Worthic attributes | Net reflected value |
|---|---|---|
| Aisha personal line | Aisha bank 20,000 + Aisha Consulting net 40,000 + 70% of Harbor Holdings’ attributed net value | 312,000 |
| Ben personal line | Ben bank 10,000 + 30% of Harbor Holdings’ attributed net value + Ben’s direct 20% of Bay Apartment net value | 198,000 |
| Aisha Consulting business line | Business bank 50,000 less tax liability 10,000 | 40,000 |
| Harbor Holdings business line | Harbor bank 40,000 + 80% of Bay Apartment value 800,000 less 80% of mortgage 480,000 | 360,000 |
