Workspaces within Worthic are collaborative environments containing users, reporting lines, accounts and transactions, and it is where your financial data and documents are collected, aggregated and processed, allowing complete oversight over your financial life.
Workspaces exist independently of user accounts, and multiple users can have access to a workspace, and each user can have access to multiple workspaces, in different capacities.
You can view all workspaces linked to your account in the account dashboard’s Workspaces page.
Workspace ID
Each workspace has a unique workspace ID, displayed on the account dashboard workspace card for each workspace. Workspace ID should be used as the subject line of any emailed documents to Worthic, particularly if a user has access to multiple workspaces.
Creating a new workspace
A workspace is created by the workspace owner. When purchasing a new subscription plan, the onboarding flow will take you through creating your first workspace. A new workspace can also be created from the account dashboard, by selecting Add workspace on the Workspaces page.
Creation of new workspaces is possible when your subscription plan has a remaining workspace allowance. If you are utilizing all of your available workspaces, additional workspaces can be purchased as add-ons.
Workspace users
Workspaces allow multi-user collaboration. The workspace owner can invite additional users, each with specified role permissions (editor, viewer) and reporting line scope. User permissions and access can be modified by the workspace owner at any time. For more information see users and roles.
Reporting lines
Reporting lines are individual accounting entities within a workspace, which can share workspace accounts or have dedicated accounts. There are three reporting line types, namely personal, business and real estate.
The number of reporting lines available within a workspace is determined by the subscription plan. For more on reporting lines, see reporting lines.
Accounts
Each workspace can contain transactional, liability and asset/investment accounts. Accounts can be owned and used by the reporting lines in the workspace and account transactions and balances are used to track cashflows and net worth/balance sheets.
For more on accounts, see account basics.
